RAZZLE BAM BOOM PRODUCTIONS
200 YEARS OF AMERICAN MUSIC from Stephen Foster to George M. Cohan, from Fats Waller to John Philip. Sousa, musician-performers, Mark Beckwith and Obediah Thomas incorporate their own zany brand of humor as they sing and play their way back through time and across America. Bluegrass, Gospel, Hawaiian, Western, Jazz, Blues, Folk and Rock 'n Roll are performed with guitar, trumpet, and vocals. This show is ideal for audiences young and old.
Two women (Joni Bovill and Rebecca Lynn) play themselves. Two aspiring actresses who believe they can do anything they set their minds to even
portraying Orville and Wilbur Wright. This performance is about the
quest for flight AND it is about following one's dreams, even in the face of
adversity. This original play is great for the entire family.
WINGS ACROSS THE CHANNEL
Three years in the making, WINGS ACROSS THE CHANNEL tells the fascinating story of a century of flight on Catalina Island , California ’s legendary Isle of Romance.
Beginning with aviation legend Glenn Martin’s first flight to the Island in 1912 (the longest over-water flight in world history to date and the first water-to-water flight in world history), the film follows the development of air passenger service on Catalina on some of the nation’s first airlines.
Travel along on hair-raising flights in open-cockpit Curtiss Seagulls, gossamer Sikorsky S-38s and rare Douglas Dolphins—the striking twin-engine amphibian designed specifically for Catalina Island by aerospace legend Donald Douglas.
Buckle up for turbulence in a special segment on World War II, when the Island hosted a number of branches of the service, including the U.S. Maritime Service, the U.S. Coast Guard, the U.S. Army Signal Corps and the mysterious O.S.S.—the forerunner of the C.I.A.
After the war, with the return of the tourists came the return of the seaplanes and the party raged for a decade. The rockin’ 50s and ‘60s saw sleeker and faster aircraft begin to ply the Catalina route, including the work-horse Grumman Goose A21 and the mighty “Mother Goose”—the legendary four-engine Sikorsky S-44 that would become a Catalina icon.
WINGS ACROSS THE CHANNEL is the story of Catalina Island and its partnership with aviation—a match that was made in heaven.
